Penis Myths Debunked

Interesting article….

When it comes to penises, length matters more to men than to women, according to a new study that reviews more than 60 years of research and debunks numerous sex myths.

About 90 percent of women actually prefer a wide penis to a long one, according to two studies included in the review. Eighty-five percent of women reported being satisfied with their partner’s penis size, compared to only 55 percent for men.

OK, so I’ve been told many a time that width matters more that length….but it ALL depends on the woman.

I can’t help think that the figure of 85% being satisfied are just ‘settling’ for what they have.

The review, conducted by Drs. Kevan Wylie and Ian Eardley of the Porterback Clinic and Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield and St. James’ Hospital in Leeds, United Kingdom, respectively, combines results from more than 50 international research projects into penis size and small penis syndrome (SPS) conducted since 1942.

I wonder what kind of mind it takes to even consider this kind of research … “I think I’m going to find out if penis length matters to women by spending a huge amount of time on research!”

“The issue of attractiveness to women is complex, but most data suggest that penile size is much lower down the list of priorities for women than such issues as a man’s personality and external grooming,” the researchers write.

Drawing upon the results of 12 relevant studies, the review, detailed in the British Journal of Urology (BJU) International, finds that the average erect penis is about 5.5 to 6.2 inches long and about 4.7 to 5.1 inches in circumference.

Again, so true…penis length matters in sex….now women are COMPLEX, sex is just a small (hehe) part of the entire package (hehe) of how attractive a guy is.

So ladies, what’s your take on the subject?

  1. You need a nice mix of length and girth but not too much of either! At the end of the day it’s who the cocks’s attached to that matters! 😉

  2. 2 Shay

maybe the mixed results have something to do with only ~30% of women reportedly achieving orgasm during penetrative sex?
So maybe other factors are more important if it’s not like his penis is going to make her come anyway. It certainly isn’t going to make her come all by itself at any rate.

  3. Technically, only the first 1/3 of the vaginal canal is sensitive to touch (aids in childbirth and cock size issues lol), so the average is usually more than enough. The girls I know who somehow aren’t satisfied still love their partners and tend to indulge in toy play for “better” length and sex for closeness with their partner.

Oh, and I laughed my ass off when I got to the “BJU” part. Hahahaha. How perfect. 🙂
